The goal of neck lift surgery is to restore a more youthful appearance of the neck through tightening underlying structures and addressing loose skin and fatty tissue. Patients enjoy a more defined jaw line with a smoother, firmer look.
As a board certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Crofts has performed hundreds of neck lifts. Neck lift surgery takes a very skilled and experienced surgeon to restore a youthful appearance all while preserving nerves and minimizing incisions. Dr. Crofts’ artistic eye and experience with neck lift procedures will give you the confidence in knowing he can assist you in reaching your surgical goals in the safest way possible.
The neck lift procedure will address the loose skin and fat of the neck area as well as platysmal neck bands if needed. A facelift will address the neck, jowls, and lower face.
Patients will need to discontinue the use of NSAIDS, fish oil, and any other blood thinners 2 weeks prior to surgery.
Results are permanent, but patients will continue to age. Most patients find that neck lift results last up to 10 years.
No lifting over 5 lbs and no strenuous activity for 2 weeks. Patients will have a facial compression wrap they will need to wear day and night for 2 weeks and at night for an additional 6 weeks.
Some patients like to combine the neck lift with a Renuvion procedure to get additional soft tissue tightening. Renuvion uses helium plasma and radiofrequency for tissue contraction.
