An active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Kimball M. Crofts M.D. is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
The American Board of Plastic Surgery is one of 24 medical boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties comprising all major medical specialties. Its mission is to promote safe, ethical, and efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for education, examination, and certification. 
The ASPS, founded in 1931, consists of board-certified plastic surgeons that perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. It is the largest plastic surgery specialty organization in the world.
Board Certified Plastic Surgeons only operate in accredited facilities, adhere to a strict code of ethics, regularly attend medical education courses and pass regular Board exams relating to their continuing education. Through these guidelines, surgeons carry out the ASPS mission of advancing the best possible care to patients.
Only ASPS members may display its logo. When deciding on a surgeon for your plastic surgery needs, look for this symbol of excellence.
Founded in 1967, the mission of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) includes an emphasis on medical and public education, research and patient advocacy realting to aesthetic plastic surgery. Similar to ASPS, only those who are members of ASAPS may display the logo.
